The story of a fantastic order.
In 2024, the PAPREC group, the leader in recycling in France, celebrated its 30th anniversary.
It was the Box Conseil agency that proposed my work to illustrate the group's industrial sites in an artistic and original way in a very beautiful work.
The group was won over and curious to see what my series would look like in their industrial world: so here I am, propelled into a world that I knew absolutely nothing about (well, no further than the sorting bins on my street): the world of recycling (or rather waste recovery).
In total, the Paprec group took me to more than 22 sites in France and abroad (Spain, Poland and Dubai), a large order, knowing that I generally need 3 days on each site.
I had 2 missions on each of the sites:
let myself be inspired and create a series of works directly on site
also create a more traditional report (live portraits, posed portraits if the person is OK with that, scenes of life, machines...).

I had a lot of fun on both missions. Of course, as always for my artistic series because I also had access to fascinating places and new materials (I think in particular of this site near Clermont Ferrant specialized in metal where I literally walked next to "mountains" of metals of all colors) but I surprised myself by loving freezing the portraits of all these people, absolutely adorable and warm, met on all these sites. The machines also, surrounded by dust (the sites can be really very dusty) offered such photogenic scenes.
